CNX Kids learned: ”God’s got it!”
On Sunday, preschoolers and lower elementary students learned that God told Moses where to go by sending clouds and fire down to show him the way.  How cool is that? God was like: Dont worry about which way to go. I got this!  This story taught us that God has the power to do whatever it takes to show us the right way!

To remember this lesson, preschoolers had a blast playing in shaving cream “clouds and both preschoolers and lower elementary kids created take-home fire and clouds crafts.

This week in upper elementary
CNX Kids learned: Knowing Jesus changes everything”
Its no mystery that our world is filled with all kinds of problems.  This week CNX Kids learned God sent Jesus to save the world and to bring us back to God. So now, we dont have to face our problems alone. Knowing Jesus changes everything.

Jesus came to bring us back to that special relationship with God. Because of Jesus, we really can be Gods kids! We dont just know about God. We can know God as our closest friend. Even though weve sometimes done bad things, even though were not perfect, God still loves us and wants to be our Dad in heaven.

God said that Jesus is His Son and that He loved Him.

When God looks at us, He says the same thing about us that He said about Jesus. (point to kids) You are my Son. You are my daughter. I love you. I am pleased with you.
But it doesnt end there. When we choose to follow Jesus, not only do we become Gods kids, but we also get to help the King bring His Kingdom to earth.

Because we are Gods kids, God gives us the power to bring some of the good stuff from heaven down to earth. That power comes through Jesus.  Our friendship with God comes through Jesus. Knowing Jesus changes everything!

“Dear God, You are so good to show us the right way. And Youre so powerful that You can always show us the right way. Please help us to talk to You when we need to know the right way and then help us to do what You say. We know Your way is always best. We love You, God! In Jesus name, amen.

This week In Preschool & Lower Elementary...
CNX Kids learned: ”God’s got it!”
On Sunday, preschoolers and lower elementary students learned that God spoke to Moses in an AMAZING way God was talking to Moses through the burning bush. He told Moses that he was to go to help the people who were being mistreated by the mean king. God told Moses that He would be with him and protect him.  Moses trusted God and did what God told him to do. Only God had the power to talk to Moses from the bush. God has all the power.

To remember this lesson, kids made a burning bush craft tell you all about how God had the power to speak to Moses through a burning bush. God has the power to speak to us, too! J

This week in upper elementary
CNX Kids learned: Our relationship with God gives us confidence in God”
The upper elementary kids stepped into the BIG story of David and Goliath this week.  We talked about how having a relationship WITH God, and a confidence IN God can lead to powerful things.  David took his faith in God, along with his trust that God was bigger than Goliath, and saved his people with 5 small stones.  The kids were able to take home a “stone of confidence with a word that represented their relationship with God, and a word of a time that they felt they could have relied on our BIG God a little more.  No matter how tall the giant is that we may have in front of us, our God is always bigger.

This week In Preschool & Lower Elementary...
CNX Kids learned: ”God’s got it!”

On Sunday, preschoolers and lower elementary students learned that God is with us wherever we go, and we know He has the power to answer prayer.  In our Bible story, God showed everyone that He is the only one with the power to answer prayer. Elijah prayed to the one true God and God was like, Stand back. I got this! Fire came down and then the rain ... it was awesome! We dont ever have to wonder if God has the power to answer our prayers because He does. Hes totally got it!

To remember their Bible story, CNX Kids created rain sticks decorated with red, orange, and yellow streamers to represent Gods fire! It was an awesome day in CNX Kids!!

This week in upper elementary
CNX Kids learned: ”We should be as faithful to others as God is to us”
Some days it seems like life is an endless series of sticky situations. Its hard to face the problems and challenges that dont always have easy answers. This week CNX Kids learned about a young lady named Ruth who had to make a big choice about whether to stick with someone she loved.  Because Ruth was
as faithful to her friend as God was to her, she got to have a special place in Gods big story!

CNX Kids learned that we should be like Ruth and stick with our friends like God sticks with us. That means loving and encouraging them no matter what. It means sticking like glue!

Hey Parents,
Want to explore this week’s lesson with your child at home?
Here’s how!!

have! How fast can you run? How many push-ups can you do? How high can you jump? How long can you hang from the bar on the swing set? How high can you swing? Do you have enough power to climb a tree? Whew! The options for testing your power are endless, but there is an end to your power. Not with Gods power, though! Tell your child that Gods power is bigger than anything we could ever imagine and it NEVER runs out! Gods got it!

Set aside time throughout the week to pray together:
“Dear God, You are so powerful and amazing. We know that You have the power to answer our prayers, just like You did for Elijah. Thank You for loving us and hearing us and always being with us wherever we go. We love You! In Jesus name, amen.

  • Whats the best part about being a part of this family?
  • Whats the best part about being in Gods family?
