This week In Preschool & Lower
Elementary,
CNX Kids learned: ” We can show love by helping others!”
This Sunday, CNX preschool and lower elementary classes combined to kick
off our yearly food drive. After hearing
the story of Jesus feeding 50oo from John 6: 1-13, we discussed what it means
to be hungry and how we can show love by helping others who are less fortunate
than us.
Preschoolers created a craft that symbolized the
food bags that our CNX Youth members will be distributing soon. Each craft had pictures of actual items that
we will be collecting.
In upper Elementary School…
CNX Kids learned: ”God’s Love carries us
through Storms!”
Today in CNX Kids, kids learned that we should
trust God, even through the storm. Paul’s faith was seen by
those on board the ship to the point that they knew to follow his words even
when the storm was at its worst. When the storm is strong, we can trust
that God’s
love will bring us through.

“Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not want
what belongs to others. It does not brag. It is not proud. It is not rude. It
does not look out for its own interests. It does not easily become angry. It
does not keep track of other people’s wrongs. Love is not
happy with evil. But it is full of joy when truth is spoken. It always
protects. It always trusts. It always hopes. It never gives up. Love never
fails.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Set aside time throughout the week to
pray together:
Heavenly Father, help us to see your love even
through the storm. Give us strength to show your love to others so that
they may trust you in everything they do! In Jesus Name, Amen!
