Vroom!!! A New Series is Here!!
This week CNX Kids began a brand new series called Vroom!
As we race through God's Word, we will learn how to truly love God &
others.
Preschoolers will pretend to race cars each week as we creatively
teach them Bible truths like:
Wait With a Happy
Heart!
~and~
Be Happy With What You
Have!
K-5 graders will experience different types of
races, from lawnmowers and dirt bikes to monster trucks and racecars! Through
this series, we will dig into each piece of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, and learn
things like:
Love Is Not Rude
~and~
Love Does Not Keep
Track of Wrongs
This week In Preschool…
CNX Kids learned: "Wait with a Happy Heart!"
This Sunday preschoolers became pit crew members
for the Goodloves Spark Plugs Racing Team and helped two racers, Slick and
Dash, get ready for a big race! Before they headed out to the track, they
checked in with Crew Chief Carl who told us the story of Abraham moving to a
new land from Genesis 12:1-8. This story and everything we saw on and off the
track helped us learn to “Wait With A Happy Heart!”
In Elementary School…
CNX Kids learned: “Love Is Patient and Kind!”
This week, we met Vic, a Goodlove’s
Spark Plugs employee who has won a chance to race in the Vroom 500. Vic loves
to win, but doens’t
love to wait and is willing to do anything to achieve a “Vic-tory”.
Screech, the pit crew chief assigned to the Goodloves Racing Team, helped Vic
learn that if you really love something you have to be patient, and that the
best way to win is to be kind. At the end of the day, we checked in with Miles
Miller and Kit Carson, the hosts of the “Inside Track”.
Miles and Kit introduced them to lawnmower racing expert Jean De’ere
who told us a story about patience from Genesis 12:1-8.

Review the weekly Bible story by reading
it together
Abraham Moves to a New Land
Genesis 12:1-10; 13:1-7
Help your children live out this week’s Bible verse by finding examples of it in their own lives and
yours.
“Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not want
what belongs to others. It does not brag. It is not proud. It is not rude. It does
not look out for its own interests. It does not easily become angry. It does
not keep track of other people’s wrongs. Love is not happy with evil. But it is
full of joy when truth is spoken. It always protects. It always trusts. It
always hopes. It never gives up. Love never fails.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Set aside time throughout the week to
pray together:
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us! We know
that You are patient and kind, so help us love others by being patient and kind
to them. We love You! Amen.
